Wedding Season ♡

Your wedding will be definetely  one of the happiest moments of your life, you are inmesely happy and everything has to be perfect. Lots of things to plan and organise  because every detail will make that day unforgettable. When the temperatures begin to rise, the wedding season begins, that is why at BIMBA we have created a list with some  tips that will help you make the right decision regarding your wedding flowers (without dying trying).

Be flexible

There is a variety of flowers that are available throughout the year, they are characterized by being strong and resistant to changes in temperature, so I highly recommend using them in your wedding arrangements, however, there is nothing more beautiful than using seasonal flowers, as they will be at their best on your wedding day. Before choosing your wedding date, keep in mind that not all flowers are available all year round, so it is best to focus on the style of bouquets you want to use and the colour palette you want to use, but let us tell you which flowers are at their best moment during that time to create your arrangements. Otherwise, decide how important it is for you to use your exact favorite flower during your wedding day and before choosing your wedding date, research when your fab bloom will be in season.

In a wedding, the flowers are everything!

And is not because I'm a florist, it is because the flowers will determine the atmosphere of the wedding. Whether you opt for an elegant style in light tones or, on the contrary, you choose bold floral arrangements, with fun colours and spectacular flowers, I recommend you to firstly focus on the bridal bouquet, since it will appear in all your photos and It will make you look spectacular. Your bridal bouquet must be the most important element for your wedding. Once you have chosen the perfect style of your bouquet, you can now start thinking about how to wonderfully decorate the place with flowers. If you have a big budget, don't skimp on prices, the flowers will make your ceremony and the place look incredible and will remain in the minds of your guests forever. If you have a tight budget, I recommend investing your entire flower budget in your bridal bouquet, since it is the flowers that will accompany you throughout the event, then you can think about adding flowers to the foca l points of the place,  because otherwise dividing your budget into small fixes all over the venue it will make the place look empty. Another option in the case of a tight budget is to opt for other types of ingredients such as moss or a  monochromatic floral arrangements with a minimalist feel, as they will have a big impact.

 Take into consideration the weather

The time of year in which your wedding will take place is a key factor when choosing flowers is not the same a ceremony in Sicily at the seaside tan a cool pub in London. As it will not be the same getting married in spring when temperatures are still low and flowers in pastel tones are at their peak is not the same as getting married during the summer, when you will find the most stunning and bold coloured flowers plus you will need flowers that are more resistant to high temperatures, such as orchids and anthuriums. The flowers will need to be at their best moment during your wedding!!

Choose the florist of your dreams, and let them do their magic!

It is very important to choose your favourite florist to be the creative director for your wedding florals. If he or she is not available that day, then choose a florist who has the most symilar style of the flowers of your dreams. From a florist's point of view, there is nothing better than a couple who loves and knows your work, clearly tells you the style of floral arrangements they want for their wedding, the colour palette, but who gives you the freedom to create and choose the best flowers for that occasion, everything will flow organically and the results will be stunning! If you have photos of the work of another floral designers the best is to use those photos just as an inspiration, since if the style is very different the result will look very forced.

The colour palette

The colour of the flowers will be a way to create the atmosphere of your wedding day. You can choose pastel tones (perfect for spring) that will give it a feeling of elegance. White flowers in light and  monochromatic tones that will achieve an ethereal look to the place. A wide variety of bold colours (perfect for summery weddings) that will convey joy and fun. Also a relaxed and rustic style using hues ranging from greens, whites and terracottas with flowers such as Celosia and amaranth for an organic feel, or dark colors that will add drama to the environment. Colour plays a very important role, before selecting the colour palette take into account the place where the wedding will take place your outfit and the dress code everything has to match perfectly well. Remember that we work with color palettes every day and we will surely suggest you something wonderful that perhaps you have never imagined.

In conclusion, it is super important that you decide in advance the type of floral decoration you want ( a good tool is to have a look on pinterest) and to find the florist of your dreams! It is also essential to see the venue, understand the vibe and style of your wedding and take exact measurements of the places that will be decorated.

We will guide you in selecting the best seasonal flowers. Take your budget into account and be very clear on what you want but always consider beig flexible as the prices can vary dramatically depending on the flowers that will be used.
